This page reads "Dear Mother Bunch, you didn't spell it quite right. But you spelled it so plainly that anybody who didn't understand must have been very stupid! And now I must tell you something about the things they do over here at Easter. On Palm Sunday - that you know is the Sunday before Easter - the people carry branches of this to church - in remembrance of the people strewing the way before Jesus when he came to Jerusalem with palms and olive branches. Only as there are not palms and olives here the branches are of willow - with the pretty furry "pussies" on them. All day and all night of Saturday - and Sunday morning - people with great loads of these willow twigs for sale go about the street and everybody - however poor or humble - buys at least one tiny one. Then after they come with them to the church - and pray there - when the people are dismissed there is a blessing asked upon the branches because they were brought as an offering to those down before Jesus. And the people carry them home and put them up in their houses where they remain until the next year's Palm Sunday - when the new ones are put in their place.
