Le Chalet was the hodler house, located on the north side of Manatee Avenue between 21st adn 22nd Street. Built by John Hodler, a Swiss man and a retired cabinet maker for the Pullman Company of Chicago. He made much of the elaborate woodwork in the Pullman railroad cars of the 1880s and 1890s.
