"Bert" Warner, page 28, continuing April 23rd, 1895. . . .and Miss M. Gilbert. Light SW wind. April 25th. Sailed to Passage Key with Ray Palmer aboard. Anchored close in to enable us to wade ashore and while away the yacht ran on the beach and was floated with difficulty. We took some egret and Black bird eggs and returned and tied up at Riverside wharf. April 27th. Sailed to Palmetto and return with Mother, Ethel and Sue aboard. Witnessed opening of Palmetto Terminal Railway. April 29th. Sailed to Braidentown with Mother, Miss Gilbert and Ethel aboard to Jno. Hodler's. May 4th, 1895. Sailed to Braidentown and returned with Arthur T. Cornwell, Jr., Jack Leffingwell and Mr. Shultz [Schultz ?] aboard. Later, conveyed Mrs. Leffingwell and Jack to Braidentown, Arthur Cornwell accompanying me. Returning we were caught in heavy rain and wind squall off Palmetto and anchored. Reached home after dark.
