Sailed to Mullet Key Quarentine Station and return with Ethel and Sue aboard. We viewed the Spanish gunboat "Infanta Isabel" lying there. She is bark rigged with single funnel and armed with 2 shielded rifles on each side and several rapid firing guns. Wind northerly, stiff. May 12th. Sailed to Braidentown and took aboard Dr. and Mrs. Leffingwell, Misses Lizzie and Kate Fogarty, Jack Leffingwell and Henry Curry. Returned to Sans Terre and took on Mother and Miss Gilbert. Thence we sailed to Anna Maria Key and landed on the inside at a well opposite Hunter's Point. Returning found it very rough in Tampa Bay. Put the Fogarty's and Leffingwells ashore at Union wharf and H.C. Curry's and returned and anchored off Riverside. Wind W and NW very hard and flowy. May 19th. Got under way for Anna Maria Key in afternoon. Anchored off Hunter's Point around sundown. May 20th.
