"Bert" Warner, page 31, for May 28th, 1895. . . .about Sundown and arrived and anchored off Sans Terre at 8 P.M. May 29th. Drew into the bank and rafted the lumber ashore. June 4th, 1895. Got under way for a cruise with Mother, sisters and Arthur Cornwell aboard and with his skiff "The Kid" along. I sailed "The Kid" and Cornwell the "Florence" to point of Mullet Key where I went aboard and took the skiff in tow. Anchored off Pass-A-Grill during a calm and later beat in against the tide during a squall and anchored under point of Long Key. Mosquitoes very bad at night. June 5th. We bent my sails and that of "The Kid" and limed then on the beach. Later bent jib and spanker and sailed into Boca Siega [Boca Ciega] Bay and anchored off Pink Key. Sailed over to Disston City in "The Kid" with Martha, Sue and Arthur returning about sundown. Juune 6th. Cornwell and I sailed around the north part of Pink Key in "The Kid."
