Took aboard some scrap iron left over from ballasting the yacht. November 16th. Sailed to Braidentown. From there got underway at 3:30 P.M. for Fort Myers under charter to [handwriting changes] A.G. Zuyer [?], John C. Hargele, W.I.[?] Kurz Chgr. [end of different handwriting]. Stopped at Sans Terre on way out and anchored in mouth of the river at dark. November 17th. Got under way at 6:10 A.M. with stiff NE wind. Passed out Long Boat Inlet. Anchored in Gasparell [Gasparilla] Pass at dark. Wind N and NW. Novembe 18th. Got under way at sunrise and grounded on Gasparilla Sound off Champion Ranch. All hands went ashore. Floated and got under way in a calm.
