Mrs. Clyde Perry died at age 101 in 2003 and served on the Manatee County Historical Commission's H.O.M.E. Committee until she died. Tissie Watson was the first archivist at the Manatee County Historical Records Library. Alice Myers worked for many years in Washington as secretary to Rep. Haley. She was a founding member and chairman of the Palmetto Historical Commission as well as author of the 1992 book "From whence we came" and other short historical articles. Floyd E.
